USDA Hosts Informational Meeting in Ashland | Environment
The United States Department of Agriculture will host an informational meeting to inform the public of programs and assistance the USDA could provide through its various agencies in northwest Wisconsin. The meetings will be held on Tuesday, June 25 and Wednesday, June 26 at Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center, 29270 County Hwy G in Ashland.
According to a press release, this gathering is also intended to bring business leaders, food producers, economic and business development representatives, farmers, local elected officials, and members of the community at large, together to share ideas and discuss a practical agenda for strengthening the economic vitality of the region, and to support sustainable economic growth through cooperation, support, partnership, and collaborative use of available resources.
Multiple USDA agencies will be available, including Farm Service Agency, Forest Service, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Risk Management Agency, and Rural Development.
